Job Description: The Family Engagement and Empowerment Division (FEED) Field Services Section (FSS) is looking for Four (4) AGPA positions throughout the State of California to conduct federally mandated administrative reviews (ARs) of Program Operators participating in the U.S. Department of Agriculture Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). DSS is looking for individuals who can provide excellent customer service, technical assistance and training while working with CACFP Operators at participating child care centers, day care homes and adult day care centers. This position requires 50 percent travel throughout the State.
Some duties include:
Plan, schedule and conduct federally mandated ARs of the CACFP using state laws and federal regulations
Monitor, evaluate, and prepare detailed written reports containing CACFP federal regulations and state requirements
Receive and analyze all corrective action documents with the CACFP ARs, complaints and investigations
Educate, train, and provide technical assistance to CACFP Program Operators, all levels of food service, executive directors of community programs; and establish liaisons with licensing departments and county and city officials to promote successful ARs
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert as it relates to the State laws and Federal regulations governing the CACFP oversight and accountability
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for the Administrative Review (AR) process, particularly those parts related to CACFP Operators financial management
Conduct and review CACFP Operators financial viability, administrative capabilities, and program accountability
Serve as a team leader on large ARs or investigations for governmental control agencies for assigned sponsors upon request
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert and evaluate training materials for statewide implementation
Maintain effective relationships and collaborate with CACFP Operators and between departments and within the Child and Adult Care Food Programs Branch
