Salary: $21.75-$22.41/per hour DOE

Job Description:

Develops and implements policies and procedures related to the effective management of the center-based food program.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Monitors and analyzes internal quality control of the meal count system and makes procedural/systematic changes for process improvements and efficiency.

  2. Manages compliance of meals served with written menus that meet the food program requirements.

  3. Ensures that all meal benefit forms are properly completed within the required timeframe.

  4. Collaborates with Registered Dietician to ensure that menus adhere to CACFP and Head Start regulations, child nutritional trends and patterns, and food allergies.

  5. Develops and manages food program information.

  6. Manages compliance of food preparation with regulations, policies and contract requirements.

  7. Manages on-site food program through conducting regular site visits.

  8. Oversees routine maintenance of kitchen facilities and equipment.

  9. Identifies training needs and provides on the job training, including required annual CACFP training.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated nutrition and administration of state funded food program experience.

  • 2 years of supervisory experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required. Years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
